  WELCOME TO OUR FARM!

We started in Manassas, VA as Carondelet Ridge Alpacas in 2008. As the song goes, nothing remains quite the same . . . and here we are moving to coastal North Carolina!  I never wanted to breed alpacas, just to nurture them. Hence, I have all males - what is known as a Fiber Herd. Never having considered myself very crafty, I was astonished a few years back when I realized not only was I spinning my own yarn, I was dying it and weaving it too. Then I discovered felting - wet and needle. Who knew?

I live with five alpacas and one llama (and an assortment of other furry and scaled children). They are family! The Boys, as I call them, bring endless hours of company and joy. Not a day goes by that something comical doesn't occur! In addition to creating finished products, I will skirt fleeces for other alpaca owners for shows of for production. I work with Central Virginia Fiber Mill and can provide door to door service!

Please check this page frequently as I will post pictures of  products available for purchase. Right now there is yarn in stock, scarves, hats and socks. Also, roving in black and white and several skirted fleeces ready for carding.  I also have clean, raw seconds of fleece in bags weighing 2 to 2.5 pounds. These are perfect for dying and wet or needle felting projects!

OUR FACILITIES

Moving the farm will be quite a challenge but I have a lovely place in Grandy, NC with more room for the animals and a garden. Stay tuned for progress reports - I hope to be offering farm tours in 2016!
